May 5, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians:

I pray that during these challenging times you are enjoying good health of mind, spirit, and body.

As you may know by now, Governor Ned Lamont announced that schools will not resume normal operations for the remainder of this school year.  I was hoping for the opportunity to personally provide you and our students the support and closure during the final weeks of our beloved school. Unfortunately, this decision from the governor will make that challenging. However, I will be in contact with Mrs. Gonzalez to see how we can make this transition better for you and our students, especially those who were looking forward to their graduation. I am positive that as soon as the stay-home regulations are lifted we can plan for a special ceremony and honor the 2019-2020 graduating class.

In addition, since churches all across the archdiocese and all over the state and country are unable to hold masses or celebrate the sacraments we cannot hold first confession and first communions until further notice. So far, there is no foreseen date for that, but as soon as the archdiocese of Hartford officially announces a date for the reopening of churches, immediately we will announce the date for those important celebrations. Let’s pray that that happens soon.

Please don’t hesitate to call me or Lori our business manager, at the office (860) 745-5616 or email me at businessoffice@stmartha.necoxmail for any questions you may have.

May God bless you and Our Lady keep you.
